PlaneSmart Signs Deal To Replace Current Cirrus SR22 Fleet With New G3 Turbos

Largest Fleet Order So Far For Newest SR22 Variant

PlaneSmart Aviation told ANN Thursday of its signing of a multi-million dollar deal to replace the fractional's current fleet of Cirrus SR22-G2s with all new Cirrus SR22-G3s. The agreement is the largest fleet purchase of this type, since the new G3s were introduced in April of this year.

"We have always strived to make sure our clients fly the very best in aircraft technology available," said Jeffery A. Cullen, PlaneSmart President and co-founder. "This new Cirrus SR22-G3 is the result of 700 refinements that will allow our customers to go higher, farther, faster and safer than ever before. Given the high level of customer satisfaction we have had with our G2s, the combination of refined improvements on the G3 and our top rated aircraft ownership program will make the aircraft ownership experience the best yet."

PlaneSmart's new SR22-G3s will arrive from the factory will virtually every option Cirrus offers, including air conditioning and a new turbo-normalized engine which can maintain 75% - 85% power all the way to the certified ceiling of 25,000 feet. All PlaneSmart aircraft will be identically equipped for ease of operation for clients.

"Obviously we are excited with PlaneSmart's commitment to providing state-of-the-art transportation service to its customers," Cirrus CEO and Chairman Alan Klapmeier remarked after completing the multimillion dollar transaction with PlaneSmart. "We value them greatly as a customer and are pleased to continue building our relationship with them into the future."

PlaneSmart has locations in Addison and Austin, TX. The company says it will soon open additional Texas locations in Houston and San Antonio, and plans expansion to Phoenix, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
