Flightline Group Begins Work On TLH Service Facility

Training Center, HondaJet Dealer, Hotel In The Pipeline

Flightline Group, Inc. told ANN this week work is set to begin on the company's new 26,000 square-foot regional service facility ... which Flightline says is the largest general aviation development and construction project ever undertaken at the Tallahassee Regional Airport.

The beginning of work on the regional service facility marks the launch of a long-term site plan that includes $20,000,000 in additional development investment by Flightline Group and their city and airport partners over the coming four years.

"Bringing world-class aviation service and facilities to Tallahassee, the State of Florida and the Southeastern US for all aircraft owners and operators has been among our highest priorities consistently throughout our 25 year history," said Mac Langston, Chairman and CEO of Flightline Group. "This new facility will help redefine services provided to general aviation in the region. We are grateful to our tremendous staff, industry and airport partners, community leadership, and to our dedicated customers for making it possible."

Sporting the obligatory golden shovels, Flightline representatives officially broke ground on the site three months ago. When complete, the facility will maintain general aviation aircraft and the emerging new generation of light jets, and will include high-speed and latest-technology communications and management capabilities and will feature a state-of-the-art parts sales service and technical library.

In the coming weeks, crews will begin to prepare the site for full-construction by expanding access and parking for the facility, bringing the site up to the latest EPA and state environmental codes, installing under-ground electric and fiber-optic communications provisions, and expanding the airport security area and fencing to accommodate the new facility's needs.

Flightline Group is an approved service organization for Piper, Cessna, and Cirrus Design.

"The new regional service facility is an excellent example of Flightline's dedication to continuing to raise the bar on aviation services, as symbolized by our rich 25 year heritage" said C. Daniel Langston, Flightline's President. "The new regional service facility marks the first in our four-year, $20 Million development plan at TLH, which will, upon completion, set a new standard for business and personal aviation in the industry."

The completed development plan also includes a training facility and Center of Excellence for DayJet, the sales and service facility for HondaJet SouthEast, expanded on-airport business facilities, and a business-class hotel.
