Air Lease Corporation Expands Twin-Aisle Growth

Signs Multiple Contracts For A330, B777 Aircraft

Air Lease Corporation (ALC) announced Monday that it has signed lease agreements for 10 additional twin-aisle aircraft. “These twin-aisle lease placements fit ALC’s growth plan which includes broadening our global customer base and fleet with a prudent, measured quantity of new or young high demand A330-200/300 and 777-300ER twin-aisle aircraft,” said John L. Plueger, President and Chief Operating Officer of Air Lease Corporation.

ALC has leased two Airbus A330-200s to Vietnam Airlines in an agreement which runs through 2019, and has acquired an A330-200 (MSN 1138) on lease to Sichuan Airlines through 2022. KLM and ALC have entered into a lease agreement through 2020 for a new A330-300 scheduled for delivery in February 2012.

The company has also entered into 12 year lease agreements for three new A330-200 aircraft delivering in April, May, and September 2011, and Hawaiian Airlines has signed a 12 year lease for a new A330-200 from ALC delivering mid 2012.

On the Boeing side of the ledger, Air France leased a Boeing 777-300ER (MSN 35542) from ALC through 2019; this follows a new Boeing 777-300ER leased to Air France by ALC which delivered in December 2010. Air Austral leased a new Boeing 777-300ER on lease through 2019, and acquired a Boeing 777-300ER (MSN 35254) on lease to Air Canada through 2021.
