Allows Simultaneous Viewing Of Approach Chart And Moving
Map
In the continuing saga of "Yeah, there's an app for that" ...
Hilton Software says that in June, iPad users will be able to get
WingX Pro7 for the device. WingX Pro7 features an advanced
GPS-Enabled Terrain-Aware Moving Map with a touch screen
interface.
Hilton Software says the app is highly configurable, allowing
pilots to view an approach chart and moving map simultaneously.
WingX Pro7 includes a comprehensive A/FD and AOPA Directory with
Yelp integration, all the NACO/AeroNav approach charts with
patented SmartTaxi technology, weather information, animated
weather graphics, advanced route planning, superb DUATS
integration, and much more.
“The large screen and intuitive interface is phenomenal,"
said Dr. Hilton Goldstein, founder of Hilton Software LLC. "If you
are tired of learning your GPS’s switchology, WingX Pro7 is
the answer. One of our company goals is to reduce the cost of
flying. With WingX Pro7, an annual subscription of just $99 saves
thousands of dollars over the smaller dedicated GPS devices that
lack approach charts, DUATS integration, and many other features.
With twice the number of pixels as the Garmin 696 and six times the
number of pixels as the Garmin Aera, WingX Pro7 for iPad is a game
changer. But best of all, we have kept the annual subscription
below $100. I simply call it ‘The $99 Moving
Map’.”
WingX products run on iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, Android,
BlackBerry, and Windows Mobile.
