Boeing Donates $100,000 For Flood Relief In South Carolina

Will Help Communities Recover From Historic Floods

Boeing will donate $100,000 to provide immediate aid and relief to victims of the widespread flooding across South Carolina, the company announced last week. Relief efforts are expected to continue across the state for an extended period as communities work to recover, with the full extent of the destruction caused by flooding yet to be determined.

“The flooding in South Carolina is a terrible disaster that’s had a major impact on the citizens of the state,” said Commercial Airplanes President and CEO Ray Conner. “We at Boeing want to help those who have been directly touched by this tragedy, and we want you to know that our thoughts are with you.”

The company’s donation will go to the American Red Cross, Palmetto SC region. Boeing employs more than 7,500 people in South Carolina.

“Our intent is that this donation will help speed the healing and recovery from this flooding once it fully subsides,” said Beverly Wyse, Boeing South Carolina vice president and general manager. “The American Red Cross is a tremendous resource that is here to help our community, including our Boeing teammates who have been impacted.”
