Both Pilots to Get Benefits
Adam Aircraft and Avidyne both announced that the Avidyne
Entegra cockpit will be integrated into the Adam A500 twin.
The FlightMax Entegra system uses two 10.4-inch diagonal,
high-resolution, sunlight-readable displays as pilot and co-pilot
primary flight displays (PFD). For superior accuracy and
reliability, each display has its own integrated solid-state air
data and attitude/heading reference system (ADAHRS). The Entegra
PFD will present standard flight instrumentation including an
electronic attitude direction indicator (EADI), electronic
horizontal situation indicator (EHSI), altitude, airspeed, and
vertical speed.
"We are very pleased to offer
the FlightMax Entegra PFD on the Adam A500," said Rick Adam, Chief
Executive Officer of Adam Aircraft Industries. "We performed
extensive analysis of new and emerging 'flight deck systems' and
Avidyne's Entegra was our top choice. From a pilot's perspective,
Entegra delivers useful information through an intuitive interface.
From a servicing perspective, we are replacing six instruments with
one Line Replaceable Unit."
Avidyne has demonstrated its leadership in the single engine
marketplace by being a factory-installed option on many new
aircraft. "We are looking forward to working with Adam Aircraft on
the A500 and view this as an opportunity for Avidyne to expand its
business into the cabin-class twin market," said Avidyne president
Dan Schwinn. "The A500 will be an unbeatable market proposition
with the Entegra system."
