FDC 4/8500 ZMA FL.. FLIGHT RESTRICTION, SW FLORIDA. EFFECTIVE 0408141100 UTC AND UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. PURSUANT TO 14 CFR SECTION 91.137(A)(2) TEMPORARY FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS ARE IN EFFECT DUE TO HURRICANE CHARLEY WITHIN THE FOLLOWING AREA: FROM THE SARASOTA VORTAC /SRQ/ TO THE LAKELAND VORTAC /LAL/ TO THE LA BELLE VORTAC /LBV/ 180 DEGREE RADIAL AT 005 NAUTICAL MILES TO THE SARASOTA VORTAC /SRQ/ 150 DEGREE RADIAL AT 046 NAUTICAL MILES THEN NORTH ALONG THE COASTLINE TO THE SARASOTA VORTAC /SRQ/ AT AND BELOW 2500 FEET MSL TO PROVIDE A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR DISASTER RELIEF AIRCRAFT. THE FLORIDA STATE EMERGENCY OPERATIONS OFFICE DON WOOD, PHONE 850-921-0443, IS IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION. ONLY DISASTER RELIEF AIRCRAFT ARE ALLOWED IN THIS RESTRICTION, UNLESS AUTHORIZED BY ATC. ST.PETERSBURG /PIE/ AFSS, PHONE 727- 539-7491, IS THE FAA COORDINATION FACILITY.
