Castle & Cooke Aviation Services Of Van Nuys, CA Signs On With Chevron

Van Nuys Airport FBO Hires Brian Woodruff As Ops Manager

Castle & Cooke Aviation has partnered with the exclusive supplier of Chevron aviation fuel, The Hiller Group, to provide Jet A and Avgas at Van Nuys Airport effective August 1, 2010.

Castle & Cooke Aviation is a full service FBO based at Van Nuys Airport since 1981. In addition to providing fuel, and aircraft support services, Castle & Cooke offers flight departments over 120,000 sq. ft. of class-A office and hangar space. Their based tenants include charter and management companies, as well as several Fortune 500 clients, which together account for over 65 jet aircraft under roof.

To compliment their growing customer base Castle & Cooke has recently hired Brian Woodruff, as Operations Manager, Irene Magglos, as Customer Service Manager and Marsella Alvarado, as Customer Service Representative.

Castle maintains FBOs in Van Nuys, California, Honolulu, Hawaii and Everett, Washington. In 2009, Castle & Cooke Aviation, VNY, received approval from the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) for another 30-year lease at Van Nuys (VNY) and in so doing gained approval for full FBO rights and privileges. "With the expansion of our leasehold, we now welcome all transient aircraft customers who have been searching for a quality provider in VNY. With very favorable fuel pricing and a long standing reputation for outstanding aviation services and safety, we are the FBO of choice in VNY. Adding Chevron as our fuel provider will help us reach more flight departments who trust the quality of their product and our services." states Steve Friedmann, Executive Vice President of Castle & Cooke Aviation.

"Castle & Cooke is already benefiting from our network of more than 600 FBOs," said Martin Hiller, President and CEO of The Hiller Group. They are also taking advantage of our best in class Product Integrity Training, Customer Service, and our on-site Quality Control reviews in an effort to provide the best possible service to its growing customer base."

David H. Murdock, Castle's Chief Executive Officer and owner, has been operating at VNY since 1975 and built his first hangar there in 1981. Mr. Murdock's Lear 25 was the seventh jet to be based at VNY in 1977. Today his flight department shares hangar and offices with aircraft owned by the region's top corporations and business leaders.
