Minnesota Puts Videos Of Reliever Airports On YouTube
We suppose it had to happen. If
you're flying into the Minneapolis-St. Paul region, and are looking
for a place to land, now you can include YouTube as part of your
flight planning.
The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) has developed a
series of online videos highlighting key features of the six area
airports that comprise its reliever airport system.
Strategically positioned across the metro region, the reliever
airports serve general aviation needs, relieving congestion that
could otherwise increase flight delays at Minneapolis-St. Paul
International Airport. MAC's reliever system is one of the largest
in the nation with more than 400,000 takeoffs and landings
annually, and a local economic impact of $255 million
dollars.
The series of short, fast-paced videos was created to showcase the
variety of distinctive airports in the MAC reliever system, and
also to broadcast what each of the six general aviation facilities
have in common: convenience, outstanding customer service, and an
exciting atmosphere for aviation enthusiasts and business
operators.
Recognizing the enormous popularity
and easy public access that the online video format provides, the
six new MAC reliever airport videos were launched on YouTube. To
view the videos, simply enter the phrase MetAirCommission in the
YouTube.com search function.
The six airports in the MAC reliever system are: Airlake Airport
(Lakevile), Anoka County-Blaine (Blaine), Crystal Airport
(Crystal), Flying Cloud Airport (Eden Prairie), and St. Paul
Downtown Airport/Holman Field (St. Paul).
