CAF B-29 Squadron Getting Set For The Season

Early Part Of The Year Will Find FIFI Mainly Out West

The Commemorative Air Force has announced the schedule for appearances by its B-29 FIFI for the early part of this year.

According to the B-29 B-24 Squadron facebook page, the historic aircraft will be in Tucson, AZ on Feb. 18-22, and will then move on to Phoenix, AZ Feb. 23-25 at Deer Valley Airport, and Mesa Gateway Airport Feb. 26-March 1.

In March, the aircraft is scheduled to be at Camarillo Airport in Camarillo, CA on the 2nd to the 8th, and then in Palm Springs March 9-15.

On the Facebook page, the group says that the tour will continue in the southwest U.S. through April, and then move to east for June and July. The midwest will see the airplane in July and August, including a stop at Oshkosh, and then appearances are planned in the mid-south in September and October.

The squadron said on the Facebook page that "there are a lot of moving parts to securing these tour dates, but we're working hard on getting Diamond Lil's schedule solidified as well, so stay tuned."
