Demolition Dick Ready For Bashing

New Way To Protest Field's Destruction

Blame Dick. That's the ticket. Ever since he ordered the destruction of Meigs Field under cover of darkness, Chicago Mayor Richard Daley has been the bane of the aviation community worldwide. Now, there's a way to take out your angst on something that sorta looks like Dick.

In fact, if you'd like your own Richard Daley doll to pose in absurd, embarrassing position, you can buy it online. A portion of every sale goes to the Friends of Meigs.

The web site is chock full of biting sarcasm and cut-til-you-bleed humor. Take this, for instance:

The dumbest quote yet, in the "positive image campaign for the new Meigs Park" reads...."My dream would be to bring a world championship to Chicago". What exciting, exhilarating sport might he be speaking of you ask? FISHING! Yep....the dream of just millions of people I think.

Or this:

O'Hare Expansion - Can Daley really "Quick-Take" Gary, Indiana? No. But if they're not careful....he will. Somehow...someway. Airport, Riverboat Casinos and all. You know he's thought about it!!! ;) Especially since BOEING has now announced it's pulling it's corporate aircraft from Midway and moving them to Gary! Remember.... if he can't "quick-take" it......he'll figure out a way to control it.

Hey, we just report. We don't make this stuff up!
