Third Time's A Charm?

Swift Launch Delayed Again

Launch of NASA's Swift spacecraft aboard a Boeing Delta II rocket has been delayed again due to continued concerns with Range Command-Receiver Decoder equipment on the launch vehicle.

Earlier today launch had been set for no earlier than Thursday. Following a Wednesday evening management meeting, it was determined a launch on Thursday was no longer viable due to the additional time required to continue assessments of the problem with the command receiver on the Delta vehicle.

The launch team was to have continued its analysis through the night, leaving open the possibility of a launch as early as Friday.
