FAA Grants STC For 3-Blade MT-Propeller On Piper PA-24-250/260

Claims Significant Performance Increases, Reductions In Vibration And Noise

The FAA has granted an STC (SA03501NY) for MT-Propeller's next generation 3-blade scimitar composite propeller MTV-9-B/188-50 on the PA-24-250 and the PA-24-260.

EASA had previously granted a similar STC (10047063).

MT-Propeller says the prop installation provides vibration damping characteristics for "almost vibration free" propeller operations; shorter take-off distance; enhanced climb performance; five knots additional cruise speed; and significant inside and outside noise reductions.

The high technology natural composite blades have no life limitation and can be repaired even in case of a FOD.

MT-Propeller is holder of over 200 STCs worldwide and OEM supplier for more than 90% of the European Aircraft Industry as well as 30% of the US Aircraft Industry with more than 16.000 propeller systems flying.
