an's Aircraft, after weeks of working through their bankruptcy process, have published a business update... and as usual, not everyone is happy. Van's notes that, "...We’ve processed a large volume of kit reorders and continue to handle related emails and phone calls. We’re shipping kits to customers every day, and we’ve started sending replacement parts to some customers with kits that contained laser cut parts. We’re also currently finalizing the plan for customers who have open orders for Lycoming engines, Rotax powerplant kits, propellers, and avionics kits." An 8-year old Atlas Air 747-8 made the rounds

Anti-Prince Harry Aviation Award Petition Mysteriously Quashed

Negative Reaction To Living Legends Of Aviation Award Reached Well Over 12,000 Before It Was Censored

The still-growing controversy to include the self-outcast Royal Prince Harry among some of those who have either innovated aviation, walked on the moon, and/or put their lives on the line for others has taken an interesting turn. On Friday, the increasingly questionable "Living Legends of Aviation" program awarded Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, an award for being a 'Living legend of Aviation.' In the days prior to this occurrence, an aggressive bit of controversy developed in which military leaders from the UK, as well as others from the aviation spectrum, protested the action... using terms like Bizarre, Preposterous and Phony.

Atlas Air 747 Goes Viral with Fiery Engine-Out

Another Day, Another Unflattering Boeing Moment on the Timeline

An 8-year old Atlas Air 747-8 made the rounds after footage of its nocturnal return showed an impressive trail of flames from one of its port side engines. The Atlas flight returned to Miami International shortly after departure, and landed successfully with no injuries reported. It's unfortunate timing for Boeing, given its recent brouhaha involving the inflight decompression of a new-production MAX 9. The intricacies of aircraft manufacture, maintenance, and overhaul are entirely lost on the public, and their desire to see dazzling footage of damaged aircraft propelled a video of the Atlas Air flight across the internet in minutes.

Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Sees Fresh Legal Action

Locals Push for Renewed Easement, Ban on Leaded Fuels

Sensing blood in the water, legal sharks near the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport have filed suit looking to restrict airport activity near their communities. The public-use airport was established in 1960 near Broomfield, Colorado, and is now the closest port to downtown Denver. Like so many airports before it, the area has been subsumed by a never-ending quantity of urban sprawl building up around it, only to find itself the focus of its new neighbor's displeasure. It sports a set of parallel, paved runways, 9,000 and 7,000 feet respectively, as well as a smaller 3,600-ft crosswind runway. Its location continues to be a popular stop for larger jets, business travelers, and firefighte
