Sunrise Airways Expands Fleet With Addition Of New Boeing 737

Aircraft To Be Deployed On Haiti-Based Carrier’s First-Ever Flights To/From North America, Launching Oct. 2017

Sunrise Airways has ordered a next generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft, continuing the Haiti-based carrier’s aggressive expansion. The second jet aircraft to be added to the Sunrise Airways fleet in 2017, the 168-seat Boeing 737 is being acquired through a wet lease agreement with Travel Service, the largest aviation company in the Czech Republic.

Sunrise Airways will deploy its new Boeing 737-800 along its new routes to Orlando and Miami from its hub in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Sunrise Airways’ new service to/from Orlando begins October 18, 2017, while its Miami flights launch November 14, 2017.

“Our continued fleet expansion speaks to the tremendous potential we see in growing our route network within and beyond the Caribbean region, while also providing our customers with the very best inflight services and amenities in the skies,” said Philippe Bayard, President of Sunrise Airways.”

The new Sunrise Airways Boeing 737 will feature two classes of service – business and economy – with maximum seating for 168 passengers; 18 in business class, 150 in economy. The aircraft sports an eye-catching new livery, all-leather seating, and inflight video entertainment. Delivery is expected during the first week of October 2017.

The Sunrise Airways fleet also includes a 150-seat Airbus A320, which is currently deployed along Sunrise Airways routes from its hub in Port-au-Prince to three gateways in Cuba – Havana, Santiago de Cuba, and Camaguey.
