Aeromexico Formacion And CAE Launch New Cadet Pilot Creation Program

Will Prepare And Train Future Pilots To The Highest Industry Standards

Aeromexico Formacion, the aviation training center of Grupo Aeromexico and the largest in Mexico, in partnership with CAE, worldwide leader in aviation training, announce the launch of a new cadet pilot creation program.

First-of-its-kind in Mexico, this pilot creation program provides cadets with no flying experience, the opportunity to become Aeromexico pilots after completing a rigorous 18-month training program. Starting in the summer of 2018, the first group of cadets will begin ground-school training at Aeromexico’s training centre in Mexico City, followed by flight training at CAE in Phoenix, AZ, USA, before returning to Mexico to complete Embraer E170 type-rating training. All the flight training will be conducted on CAE’s fleet of Diamond and Piper aircraft equipped with glass cockpits and Garmin 1000 avionics. The program follows the highest training standards in the industry, based on ICAO competences, and leverages the professional training experience of both Grupo Aeromexico and CAE.

"Today known as Aeromexico Formación, we are recognized for having the best crews in Mexico and worldwide. In collaboration with organizations like CAE, we will train pilots and flight attendants to the highest degree of professionalism, for them to be recognized as the best, both for their technical knowledge and for their dedication and the quality of their service,” said Andres Conesa, CEO of Grupo Aeroméxico.

“CAE is proud to partner with Aeromexico on this first-of-its-kind cadet creation program in Mexico,” said Nick Leontidis, CAE’s Group President, Civil Aviation Training Solutions. “It is part of our mission to grow and train tomorrow’s pilots to the highest standards.”
