Upgraded: Walter Desrosier

New VP, Engineering And Maintenance

The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) announced the recent promotion of Walter L. Desrosier to the position of Vice President, Engineering & Maintenance. Desrosier was previously GAMA’s Director, Engineering & Maintenance.

“Since joining GAMA over seven years ago, Walter has developed an in-depth knowledge of aviation procedures and regulations and has contributed significantly to GAMA’s success on a number of technical issues. He has clearly demonstrated that he is ready to assume additional responsibilities within the association,” said GAMA President & CEO Ed Bolen.

In his new capacity, Desrosier will continue to work with Bill Schultz, GAMA’s Special Technical Advisor and a recognized certification expert. Desrosier serves on numerous FAA Aviation Rulemaking Advisory Committees and is chair of the P.135 Airworthiness Rulemaking Committee.

Prior to joining GAMA in 1997, Desrosier was a Presidential Fellow for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where he also earned his Master of Business Administration in Aviation and Bachelor of Science in Aviation Maintenance Management. He also worked as an aircraft A&P mechanic at Embry-Riddle’s FAA certified Repair Station.
