Three Receive Master Instructor Designation In May

National Accreditation Recognized By The FAA

Three instructors have earned their first Master Instructor designation in the month of May.

Master Instructors LLC said in a news release that all were accredited as Masters by Master Instructors LLC, the international Master Instructor accrediting authority. All obtained their designation through the Master Instructor "Fluid Review" program online.

Professional aviation educators who earned or renewed their "Master" title during May 2018 are:

Michael Christopher "Mike" Demulling, New Richmond,WI  Master CFI

Michael C Demulling, a 9-time Master and a SAFE member, renewed his Master CFI accreditation April 30th. Mike is the manager of New Richmond Regional Airport as well as the  chief pilot for White House Custom Colour and a volunteer pilot for the Saint Croix County Sheriff's Department.  Additionally, he operates Mike Demulling Flight Training where he specializes in primary, instrument, recurrent, and Aerostar flight and ground training. Mike Demulling Colonel Lee "Monty" Hall

Donald Lee "Monty" Hall, Mesa.  AZ Master CFI-Aerobatic

Colonel Lee "Monty" Hall, a 1st-time Master as well as a member of SAFE, earned his Master CFI-Aerobatic accreditation May 25. A retired US Air Force F-16 Group commander and F-16 instructor pilot, Monty served as site manager for the USAF Initial Flight Training program in Pueblo, Colorado.  Currently, he is an advanced instructor pilot with Aviation Performance Solutions LLC at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (IWA) where he specializes in upset prevention and recovery training (UPRT) that is geared toward experienced aviators. Michael Bruce "Mike" Traud, Gold River, CA  Master CFI

Michael B Traud, an 8-time Master and SAFE member, renewed his Master CFI accreditation May 11. A member of the Master Instructor Board of Review, Mike serves as a designated pilot examiner (DPE) in the FAA's Sacramento FSDO area.  Additionally, he is an aviation consultant and adjunct professor of aviation at Los Rios Community College while also owning and operating MTAviation Services LLC  at Sacramento's Executive Airport (SAC).  Email Traud@hotmail.com.

Many of the most recent National Flight Instructors of the Year or National FAASTeam Representatives of the Year were Master CFIs. In addition, the FAA has approved the accreditation as an alternate means for CFIs to renew their flight instructor certificates.
