Company Can Now Manufacture, Certify, And Deliver Articles For New Bizjets
Representatives of the FAA’s San Antonio Manufacturing District Office (MIDO) awarded SJA a Production Certificate (PC) (articles only) on May 12th 2014. SJA has worked diligently to develop quality assurance, manufacturing, and inspection processes that meet the FAA’s stringent requirements. It now joins a select group of aircraft manufacturing companies.
The production certificate authorizes SJA to manufacture, certify, and deliver articles in accordance with 14 CFR Subpart G. In order to obtain this PC, SJA developed and demonstrated a fully functioning quality system that is compliant with all of the requirements of 14 CFR 21.137. The FAA’s extensive evaluation process for obtaining a PC requires multiple audits to ensure compliance with the regulations. This Production Certificate is an important and significant step for SJA as it ramps up the manufacture and delivery of the SJ30i and SJ30x light business jets.
“This is a significant milestone that demonstrates SJA’s commitment to our customers and the safety and quality of our products,” said SyberJet’s Quality Director Corey Judd, who received the certificate from the FAA.
“In conjunction with the groundbreaking ceremony for the SJA Completion and Delivery Center in Cedar City, Utah earlier this month, this achievement shows SJA’s continued progress and demonstrates our commitment to deliver the SJ30 to our waiting customers," said Mark Fairchild, General Manger of SJA’s San Antonio sites.
