"Yeah, I'll Have #3 Flight Bag Special, Medium Coke... Hold The
AOPA Watch"
Aiming to balance customer service, mobility, and the
unconventional schedules of many pilots, Sporty's Pilot Shop
recently introduced "Sporty's Fly-Thru Service." As the name
implies, the new customer service initiative makes it possible for
customers to fly to Sporty's and pick up their order in person 24
hours a day, seven days a week.
Orders placed via the telephone or online before 6:00 pm Monday
– Friday can be picked up the same day the order is placed.
Fly-Thru Service is also available on weekends with an order placed
at 1-800-SPORTYS between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm on Saturday or
Sunday. Sporty's is located at Ohio's Clermont County Airport
(I69), east of Cincinnati.
"We have personnel on site 24 hours a day since we also manage
the airport," said John Zimmerman, Sporty's Vice President. "This
arrangement allows us to provide a unique level of customer service
and personal attention for our customers."
Company personnel say pilots who need a chart for an unexpected
trip, for example, can place the order and get the chart at their
own convenience. Sporty's Fly-Thru Service will accommodate any
last-minute pilot needs for an impending trip... or even for a
quick gift.
For those in less of a hurry, Sporty's store is open seven days
a week where pilots can try on various headsets, get a personal
demo of Sporty's training courses, examine Sporty's line of Flight
Gear bags and much more. Sporty's FBO partner, Eastern Cincinnati
Aviation, provides a full complement of aircraft services while you
shop.
