Superior Air Parts Picks Tempest Aviation Oil Filter

Will Be An "Integral Part" Of Engine Program

Superior Air Parts says it's chosen Aero Accessories' Tempest line of aviation spin-on oil filters for their line of Millennium and XP engines.

"Superior has long been looking for a new-generation oil filter that would provide owners of both the Millennium Engine and XP-360 Engine, a higher-level of quality and performance," said Terry Wood, V.P. Sales and Marketing for Superior Air Parts. "The new Tempest filters demonstrate an advancement in thinking and product technology that is the perfect match for the engineering and performance of the Millennium and XP-360 engines. We are proud to have them as the 'filter of choice' for our engines."

"We are proud that Superior has chosen our new line of spin-on oil filters to be an integral part of their engine program," said John Herman, Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Tempest. "Superior has had a longstanding reputation for quality and it means a great deal to us that they have selected our filter as the one that meets their high standards for quality."

Branded the Tempest Original Aviation Spin-on Oil Filter, it reintroduces an improved version of an oil filter design, proven with over 30 years experience. The full size filter design incorporates many features including, the highest burst pressure rating in the industry and it meets TCM bypass relief valve specs.

  • Although a new product, Tempest says its filter has already provided a number of aviation "firsts." Among them:
  • Magnetic secondary filtration system that attracts steel particles too small to be filtered in the media
