Trio Plans Circumnavigation In An R66 Helicopter

Departure Planned From Whistler, Canada On May 1

Three friends are planning to circumnavigate the globe in a Robinson R66 helicopter beginning in May to talk about entrepreneurship and healthy lifestyles.

The "EPIC" Tour ... an acronym for Empowering People Inspiring Change ... will take off on May 1 from Whistler, Canada and land 84 days later, if all goes according to plan. Aboard will be Ruben Dias, an entrepreneur who started his first company at age 21 and now claims almost 30 years of involvement in the world of enterprises and numerous successful “start-up to exit” experiences; pilot Mischa Gelb, who bought his first helicopter at age 18 and a few year later was managing his own flight training company – BC Helicopters – where he has been chief pilot and flight instructor for about 13 years, and; videographer/social media expert Diogo Dias.

The group chose the R66 for its reputation for reliability, 300lb capacity baggage and the Rolls Royce RR300 turboshaft engine that provides additional payload and improves altitude performance. They also cite the helo's hydraulic controls that eliminate feedback forces and offer responsive handling.

According to the EPIC Tour website: "On the way, we will be stepping foot in more than 40 countries, flying over five different continents, Empowering People & Inspiring Change all over the planet through a series of open-for- all free conferences aimed at future entrepreneurs.

"We’re three guys flying around the world inside a helicopter, with a luggage jam- packed with almost 30 years of business success stories to share. The helicopter was no random choice. Inside any helicopter cockpit one finds a precise fine-tuned environment with no room for mistakes and little tolerance for blurred focus. Pretty much the same environment you should be grooming inside your own business. Our conferences will show exactly how you can achieve that corporative state of mind.

"The EPIC Tour is sponsored by a venture capital and a plant-based food lounge, both founded and managed by Ruben Dias himself – “the companies sponsoring the EPIC Tour are real world examples of what I’ll be sharing in every conference: FastTrack is an innovation enabler and Eight is a healthy lifestyle promoter. It’s important to understand from the get-go that there’s much more to be gained in a world filled with happy, accomplished, healthy people."
