"The Decision To Reschedule The Wings Over Dallas Airshow Is The Only Responsible Solution"
The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) has confirmed that its 2020 Wings Over Dallas WWII Airshow has been rescheduled for 2021... BUT, a new date has not yet been determined.
The organization’s annual World War II themed aviation event has been held each October since 2015 at Dallas Executive Airport. The show has welcomed thousands of visitors to view vintage warbirds in flight, take tours of the aircraft and talk to military veterans. Last year, the event’s Aviation Discovery Zone welcomed over 1,200 school-aged children, engaged 20 community organizations and was supported by more than 200 volunteers.
“Given the ongoing uncertainty regarding COVID-19, the decision to reschedule the Wings Over Dallas Airshow is the only responsible solution,” said Hank Coats, CAF President and CEO. “We have been working closely with the many aircraft operators, sponsors and volunteers who make the Wings Over Dallas Airshow a memorable event, and we’re looking forward to continuing this tradition next year.”
The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Dallas, and the world’s largest flying military aircraft museum with more than 170 vintage military aircraft and 11,000 members across the United States. For more than 60 years, the CAF has been dedicated to educating, inspiring, and honoring through flight and living history experiences. The non-profit organization maintains airplanes in flying condition, allowing the public to experience first-hand the sights and sounds of America’s military aviation history.
