Drone Aviation Appoints Reginald L. Brown Jr. As Government Affairs Liaison

Former Oracle Executive Recruited By Chairman Jay H. Nussbaum For His 35 Years Of Experience In Government Sector

Reginald ("Reggie") L. Brown, Jr. has  been appointed to the newly created position of Government Affairs Liaison at Jacksonville, FL-based Drone Aviation. In his new role, Brown will focus on expanding a customer base in federal, state and local government. Mr. Brown's career spans more than 35 years in high-level executive sales, marketing, management, information technology and business consulting across the public sector.

Brown's diverse business experience includes serving as vice president of U.S. solution sales for Oracle Corporation and Director of Federal Global Operations and Government Affairs, Integrated Systems, for Xerox Corporation as well as serving as Special Assistant to the Secretary of Defense when he was appointed to the prestigious President's Commission on Executive Exchange.

"Having worked alongside Reggie for many years, I witnessed him build a successful sales career within both government and industrial sectors, all of which are primary targets for our technology and I'm confident that he is the right executive to help bring our unique tethered drone and aerostat systems to the next level," said Drone Aviation Chairman Jay Nussbaum.

"After meeting the executive team and experiencing the technology first hand, I am confident we can capitalize on the large opportunity for the company's WATT and WASP tethered aerial monitoring and communication platforms for emergency response, law enforcement, Homeland Defense and Border Patrol as well as across a wide array of applications in the commercial sector," Brown said. "I believe these sectors will find tremendous value in our unique tethered systems and benefit from their safer, longer duration and more data-secure flight operations."

At Oracle Corporation, Brown managed an executive sales organization generating approximately $700 million in annual revenue focused on the transportation, K-12 education, medical, justice and public safety, finance and administration sectors and directed Oracle's government U.S. sales operations. Prior to Oracle, Brown had a distinguished 22-year career at Xerox Corporation in executive sales and marketing management, specializing in U. S. government affairs and global operations, holding positions including director, federal global operations and government affairs and general manager, policy and government affairs at its integrated systems unit. He has also served on the Board of Directors of Agilex Corporation, McDonald Bradley Inc., Cyveillance Inc., and the National Infiniti Dealers Advisory Board and the National Association for Minority Auto Dealers Board.

Additionally, Brown also served as chairman of the executive leadership foundation and as executive advisor at Kemp Partners, a strategic consulting firm headed by The Honorable Jack Kemp, former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, U.S. Congressman, and Vice Presidential Candidate.
