Enstrom Helicopter Corp. Delivers at HAI 2004

Announces 2003 Dealer of the Year

Enstrom Helicopter Corp. opened HAI 2004 by awarding its annual Dealer of the Year honors to Kevin McCutcheon of Flight Solutions in Gallatin, Tenn.

"Kevin is the reigning worldwide Enstrom salesman for two years running," said President Jerry Mullins. "That's an impressive record since he has only been with us for two years. He sold 30 percent of Enstrom's production in 2003."

McCutcheon started his first aviation business in 1991. In 1997, he changed his company's name to Flight Solutions. His company has received the "National Business Aviation Association Safety Award" for thousands of hours of safe flying as well as being awarded "Charter Company of the Year" by the entertainment industry. The company has also been featured in various publications for its exceptional service and dedication to its customers. With more than 13 years of experience and over $150 million worth in aircraft sales and counting, Flight Solutions is a premier aircraft sales company.

Enstrom Helicopter Corporation is also inviting Heli-Expo attendees to visit booth 2035 and check out its newest helicopters hot off the line from its northern Michigan facility. A 280FX piston, recently purchased by Richard Greb, and 480B turbine model is on display throughout the entire show, March 15 - 17. That's when Roger Sharkey, Enstrom's Northeast U.S. dealer, will take delivery of the 480B.

"I've been an Enstrom dealer for nearly 30 years and they still put out a superior product," Sharkey said.  "Enstroms are the most forgiving and enjoyable helicopters out there. I plan to use the 480B as a sales tool and demo aircraft."

Sharkey's 480B is modeling some new features for 2004. The radio package includes a Garmin state-of-the-art 530 GPS and a Garmin 340 transponder. Also in front, heat vents are now molded directly into the console side closures. This improves appearance, streamlines the look of the cockpit and improves durability. At the back of the cockpit, the new backwall trim also improves the appearance of the cabin, making it more streamlined and finished. Outside at the tail, the single-piece tail rotor pitch links have been changed out from the original four-piece assembly. This saves in manufacturing cost which is passed on to customers.

The 280FX piston on display in Enstrom booth 2035 was delivered in December to Richard Greb, a Nebraska native and long-time Enstrom fan.

"In doing research to buy my first certified helicopter, I found that the 280FX had the best performance at high density altitudes," Greb said. "It has superior safety, stability, and speed.  These characteristics along with great cabin comfort and classy looks provided the 'total' package."
