Another Nano-Drone Nears Full Funding On Indiegogo

The ONAGOfly Smart Nano Drone Has Pledges Totalling Nearly $2.1 Million

The trend towards small, feature-packed UAVs appears to be strong with the fundraising performance of the ONAGOfly drone on the crowdfunding site Indiegogo.

So far, the company has raised nearly $2.1 million towards the palm-sized quadcopter. The original goal for the campaign had been $150,000.

The company claims that the aircraft will include GPS navigation, obstacle avoidance capability, and a high-resolution camera ... all of which can be controlled using a smartphone app. It will also offer P2P streaming so that a remote smartphone can get a first-person view of the flight of the quad.

The company says that improved battery performance will give the ONAGOfly drone will have a flight time of 15 minutes. That time is reduced to 12 minutes while recording video.

Other features include  "follow me" capability using the on-board GPS module.

The basic unit sells for $199, with a pro kit available for $259. ONOGOfly says the first units are expected to ship in February of this year.
