Gulfstream Promotes CIO Sheryl Bunton To Senior Vice President

IT Veteran Joins Company’s Leadership Team

Gulfstream has promoted its chief information officer (CIO), Sheryl Bunton, to senior vice president. She is now a member of the company’s senior leadership team.

Since joining Gulfstream in 2015, Bunton has established and delivered companywide technology solutions and digital transformation strategies.

“While at Gulfstream, Sheryl has leveraged her considerable experience and expertise to establish a leading worldwide information technology organization,” said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream. “Her demonstrable skills, talent and knowledge of the industry as well as her role on the leadership team ensure we are sufficiently agile and committed to addressing an ever-evolving IT landscape. Expanding the leadership team to include this role reflects Gulfstream’s continued focus on the safety and privacy of our information infrastructure, intellectual property and customer data.”

Before joining Gulfstream, Bunton served as worldwide CIO for AGCO Corp., where she was responsible for managing more than 500 applications and a complex SAP environment. Bunton also worked as the CIO for Southwire Company, a wire and cable manufacturer, and as a general manager for MYTecSoft Inc., an SAP consulting firm.

Bunton also has experience in the financial industry, having worked for more than a decade for then-AT&T Capital Corp., where she started as a sales representative and worked in positions of increasing responsibility until becoming senior vice president for the industrial finance business unit.

Bunton earned a business degree from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and an Executive Master of Business Administration in finance from the AT&T School of Business in partnership with the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
