SIMAERO B737-800 FFS Certified For UPRT

EASA Certificate Issued By French DGAC for Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT)

SIMAERO France has upgraded its Boeing 737-800 level D Full Flight Simulator (FFS) and has received an EASA certificate from French DGAC for Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT), full stall and icing capabilities as per CS-FSTD(A) Issue 2.

This project is the part of the last stage of SIMAERO’s UPRT training integration in its training organization capabilities according EASA requirements, which were delayed due to the Covid crisis. All type rating programs are already updated with UPRT scenarios, instructors familiarized accordingly, and theoretical part has been created in SIMAERO’s new state of the art learning management system.

SIMAERO has chosen STALLBOX of BIHRLE Inc. as an UPRT upgrade solution, which was successfully completed by TRU Simulation despite of all challenges of global pandemic. STALLBOX has been selected because of such important advantages as easy installation with minimal downtime, no impact on existing simulator certification and no interference with future baseline simulation updates.

“We are very satisfied with this solution”, says Nicolas Mouté, CEO of SIMAERO. “I would like to thank the entire project team for completion of this important milestone for SIMAERO on time, and special thanks to BIHRLE and TRU Simulation for supporting us during pandemic and overcoming unprecedented travel restrictions”.

The simulator is located at SIMAERO Paris Training Center’s premises 10 minutes away from CDG airport terminals. The device is equipped with MOOG 3 inches electrical pneumatic motion system and RSI visual system Raster XT5 180°-90,° collimated, with day, dusk, night, dawn laser options. It has CFM 56-7B27/B1 engine fit, EICAS instrument fit, ACAS II, ETOPS capability.
