GoFundMe Program Hopes To Get Engine For Young Aviation Entrepreneur

$2,300 Raised So far With Goal Of $20K

The internet is filled with various GoFundMe and other donation programs for all manner of reasons... some inspired and worthy, some... not so much.

This one, though, just might deserve a moment of your time... not to mention a few bucks.

A regular fixture at a number of aviation events, Rachel St Louis is a hard-working young lady who is pursuing her dream to fly in an airplane she built by herself. A soloed pilot, she's working on her Private ticket and hopes to make aviation a major part of her life. She is also planning to enter Embry-Riddle next year to pursue her aviation studies.

You may have seen her at a number of fly-ins, before the pandemic hit, with her aviation oriented jewelry making business -- which has supported her aviation dreams to this point... but is now at a standstill due to the COVID problem.

She has acquired an LSA kit, a Bush Cat, and hopes to complete and fly it some day. Most of the kit is now complete, but one big and expensive component is missing -- the powerplant. With a solid fan base among aviators all over North America, the GoFundMe site was started by her friends to seek enough bucks to help her complete and fly her airplane. She did not ask this herself and would apparently really prefer to be on the road right now, earning her way, attending airshows and fly-ins, hauling her Jewelry display trailer to the aviation and other craft-oriented events that have supported her dreams so well -- to this point. But like it has to so many other others, COVID-19 has made this nearly impossible.

The GoFundMe page has a lot more info... and we recommend you take a look and see if this is cause that you might support... we recommend her as a worthy recipient of your donations.
