Two F/A-18s Tangle -- No Word On Injuries
Two US Navy F/A-18 aircraft collided in mid-air during a Monday
training session, according to military officials. The fates of the
crews involved were not immediately known.
It happened about 40 miles northeast of Ridgecrest, CA. Both
aircraft were from NAS Lemoore, according to base spokesman Dennis
McGrath. One of the aircraft involved was a single-seat F/A-18E.
The other was a two-place F/A-18F, McGrath said.
A rescue team from China Lakes has been dispatched to locate the
downed crewman, he said.
