Three Humvees Destroyed In Airdrop Exercise

Slid Off Pallets After Being Dropped From C-130 In Germany

Three Army Humvees were destroyed earlier this month during an airdrop exercise in Germany ... and a video of the drop has gone viral on the Internet.

The trucks were dropped as part of an exercise that included about 150 supply bundles, vehicles, and other equipment, according to Army spokesman Maj. Juan Martinez. During the exercise, three of the Humvees slipped out of their rigging, and fell several hundred feet to the ground. USA Today reports that no one was hurt.

A video of the drop was posted to Facebook, where it has been viewed more than a million times.

Martinez said in an email to The Army Times that the "specific malfunctions that occurred ... are under investigation." He added that the probe "will receive the highest priority."

The video was posted to a Facebook page titled "Army W.T.F! Moments".

A person can be heard on the video laughing as the Humvees fall, and later someone can be heard saying "called it."
