Redhawk Aircraft And Curriculum Adopted By Marine Military Academy

U.S. Marine Corps Based Secondary School Will Use Redbird’s Redhawk Training Aircraft And Redbird Skyport’s Migration Training Curriculum

Since 1965, the Marine Military Academy (MMA) has offered a high-school experience based on the principles of the U.S. Marine Corps, including active and retired Marines on its faculty. This September, their flight-training program will use Redhawks, the diesel-powered, remanufactured 172s that represent one component of a comprehensive flight training system from Redbird Flight Simulations.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to see several of our programs come together in the field,” says Jerry Gregoire, Founder of Redbird Flight Simulations. “The MMA will start with Redbird simulation equipment and Redhawk training aircraft using a customized version of the Migration training program we’ve refined over the past several years at the Redbird Skyport. Because we’re so close to bringing TRACE-based training products to market, that technology will be integrated into their training as it comes online as well.

These students will be some of the first in the country to experience a fully interactive, fully integrated flight training program from Redbird.”

The MMA is one of a few select sites beta-testing the Redhawk aircraft on the flight line. Meanwhile, Redbird is taking orders for Redhawks. Redhawk partner Brown Aviation Lease also announced its “power-by-the-hour” pricing, for schools seeking a more predictable real-world cost.

Students at the MMA come from around the world, and they graduate to top colleges and careers both in and outside the military. The MMA’s customized program will serve those needs, but as the first comprehensive program exported from Skyport, it can serve as a template for training programs any flight school could implement using the right equipment. Gregoire says people should expect to see examples of that, including automated training based on Redbird TRACE, by Redbirds annual Migration Flight Training Conference.
