B-1, C-130 Modification Programs, Jobs Moving To Site

Ground was broken Tuesday on a new facility Boeing plans to lease in Oklahoma City. The six-story, 320,000-square-foot building will be home to the Boeing B-1 bomber program and C-130 Avionics Modernization Program, which are transitioning to Oklahoma.

OKC Groundbreaking Ceremony

"Today's groundbreaking was born out of our need to be competitive, to affordably deliver these programs for our customers and enable future growth, and to continue to serve the warfighters we are so honored to support," said Dennis Muilenburg, president and CEO of Boeing Defense, Space & Security.

Joining Muilenburg at the event were U.S. Rep. Tom Cole; Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin; Councilman Patrick Ryan; Richard Tanenbaum, building developer, Gardner Tanenbaum Holdings; and Mike Emmelhainz, Boeing Oklahoma City site director.
