Jeppesen Training E-Books For Offered For Apple, Android, PC, And Mac

Multiple Device Availability Provides Customers With Choice Of E-Learning Options

Jeppesen now offers customers delivery of its popular e-book training textbooks and materials directly through its JeppDirect.com site for use with Apple iOS and Android devices, as well as for PC and Mac computers.

Previously only available through the Apple iBookstore, Jeppesen e-book titles provided through JeppDirect.com now offer multiple platform delivery choices, in addition to iPad and iPhone. Jeppesen also now offers two new e-book titles, “Aviation Dictionary,” and “Aircraft Gas Turbine Powerplants” to supplement its total training solution for student pilots and mechanics, flight schools, universities, current pilots and aviation maintenance technicians.

“Offering multiple platform options for training e-book delivery through JeppDirect.com enhances the interactive learning experience that we provide for our customers,” said Julie Filucci senior manager, Jeppesen Aviation Training Solutions. “Expanding from iPad and iPhone delivery allows us to provide our e-book material on the preferred device of the customer, received directly from the source.”

Jeppesen e-book titles provide a highly interactive learning environment, featuring highlighting, bookmarking, note taking and search capabilities. Users are also able to use hyperlink functionality to access additional Web-based information for student learning. Once downloaded, Jeppesen e-books do not require an internet connection, so students are able to access e-book features everywhere, including the classroom, in the lab or at the airport.

Jeppesen’s industry-leading Private Pilot Guided Flight Discovery manual and the A&P Technician General, Airframe and Powerplant textbooks and reference books are also offered on JeppDirect.com, for a total of 11 currently available Jeppesen e-book titles.

Jeppesen e-books purchased through JeppDirect.com are protected using Adobe Content Server (ACS) digital rights management (DRM) software. Registering for a free Adobe ID is recommended to view e-book material purchased from Jeppesen.
