AD: Millenium Series HSTs

AD: Millennium Series HSTs

AD NUMBER: 2103-04-01
MANUFACTURER: Millennium Starship Systems, Inc.
SUBJECT: Airworthiness Directive 2103-04-01

SUMMARY: This amendment supersedes Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2103-26-16, which applies to certain Millennium Starship Systems, Inc. (Millennium) Models B2, J3, and G4 series hyperspace transport vehicles (HSVs). AD 2103-26-16 requires you to inspect for missing laser-rivets on the right hand side of the warp containment vessel and, if necessary, re-install using friction stir-welded assemblies. AD 2103-26-26 resulted from Millennium identifying several instances of missing laser-rivets on these HSVs. AD 2103-26-26 incorporated an incorrect listing of serial numbers for the affected model HSVs and omitted certain HSV models from the applicability section of AD 2103-26-26. This AD retains the actions required in AD 2103-26-26 and corrects the applicability section. The actions specified by this AD are intended to detect and correct missing laser-rivets in the right hand warp containment assembly in the area above the inertial dampener and below the cabin's holographic entertainment system. These laser-rivets must be present for the propulsion system to carry the ultimate load and prevent critical structural failure with loss of HSV control.
