Citation Mustang, Caravan Among Planes Making The Trek To
Geneva
Cessna Aircraft Company tells ANN the Wichita, KS-based
planemaker will display its complete line of business jets at the
seventh annual European Business Aviation Convention &
Exhibition (EBACE) being held May 22-24 at the Geneva Palexpo,
immediately adjacent to Geneva International Airport in
Switzerland.
Aircraft on static display will include all Cessna's current
production jets: the Citation Mustang (above), Citation CJ1+,
Citation CJ2+, Citation CJ3, Citation Encore+, Citation XLS,
Citation Sovereign and Citation X. Also on static display will be
the Turbo Stationair (Model 206), and Grand Caravan with the new
Oasis executive interior.
Cessna will also exhibit a mockup of its Large Cabin Concept
(LCC) business jet currently under evaluation. The LCC mockup, unveiled in October at NBAA
2006, will be displayed at EBACE for the first time to
gather market feedback from European customers to help determine
customer requirements for this class of aircraft, and to gauge
market demand.
"It is important for us to continue to gather information from
our international customers as the business jet market outside the
U.S. continues to grow," Chairman, President and Chief Executive
Officer Jack Pelton said. "In 2006, business jet orders outside the
U.S. accounted for 48 percent of our total orders, which is a
significant increase compared to the past few years."
Based on unit sales, Cessna Aircraft Company is the world's
largest manufacturer of general aviation airplanes. In 2006, Cessna
delivered 1,239 aircraft, including 307 Citation business jets, and
reported revenues of about $4.2 billion and a backlog of $8.5
billion.
