'Show Me' The Scholarship!

Missouri Pilots Association Offers Aviation Scholarship

The Missouri Pilots Association is offering a $600 Scholarship for a kindergarten though twelfth grade teacher to attend an aerospace education course. While, the scholarship may be used at any college or university, historically only Central Missouri State University (CMSU) at Warrensburg offers an appropriate course.

The 2004 Aerospace Education Course at CMSU starts on June 7, and concludes June 18, 2004. Two graduate credit hours are received upon completion of the course. No previous aviation knowledge is required.

The Norman Lawnick Aerospace Education Scholarship was created to provide teachers in the "Show Me" state with a basic knowledge of aviation and it many facets. This knowledge can then be integrated into their curriculum. The course of study utilizes field trips and guest speakers. The deadline to apply for this scholarship is May 17, 2004.
