Additional STC's Granted To Latitude For SkyNode Satcom, IONode FDM System

Certificate Covers More Than 800 Part 23 Aircraft

The FAA has granted additional STCs to Latitude Technologies (Latitude) for the SkyNode S100 flight following and flight date transceiver for installation in more than 800 Part 23 category aircraft.  Latitude has also recently received FAA approval of the SkyNode S100 including the IONode Flight Data Monitoring system for light helicopters including Bell 206/407 and Eurocopter Aerospatiale 250/355 types.

Transport Canada has just issued a new STC for the SkyNode S200 Satcom that also certifies Latitude's IONode advanced flight data recording and reporting device, the centerpiece of Latitude's broad program of flight data management solutions, for the same Part 23 aircraft types.

"Latitude now has our entire range of SkyNode and IONode FDM products certified in more than 1,000 fixed wing and rotary aircraft in the U.S. and Canada and in all territories relying on FAA and Transport Canada STCs for their domestic airworthiness certifications," said Lattitude president Mark Insley."  He also observed that Latitude is now able to deliver certified flight data and satcom voice solutions, utilizing the Iridium satellite communications network, for more aircraft models than any other avionics solution provider in the world.

SkyNode S100, S200, and IONode FAA, Transport Canada and EASA STCs are now available for hundreds of airframes.
