The FAA will partner with AUVSI to host the fourth annual Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Symposium on June 3 to 5, 2019 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland.

The event, which is rescheduled for these dates after being postponed earlier this year, will bring together stakeholders from all sectors to discuss the rules and concepts that will govern the future of drone operations. The symposium will feature the "buzz" about what’s next in drone technology and what it means for the future of flight. As urban air mobility, package delivery and beyond visual line-of-sight (BVLOS) operations are taking off, the FAA is making continuous progress toward safely integrating drones into the National Airspace System. Learn what is happening that will help you conduct more complex operations that will bring economic growth to your business and our communities. Drone Delivery Canada’s new Condor has been in development for the past year as a delivery cargo aircraft.  It reportedly has a payload capacity of 400 pounds, and a potential travel distance of up to 108 nautical miles. The Condor is powered by a next generation gas propulsion engine. The Condor measures 22 feet long, 5.1 feet wide and seven feet tall. It has a wing span of approximately 20 feet and is capable of vertical take off and landing. It is equipped with DDC’s proprietary FLYTE management system which is the same platform used in all of DDC’s cargo delivery drones. The dazzling drone light show that made its debut at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh last year is returning in 2019, with more than 100 lighted drones taking flight during the night air shows on July 24 and 27 during the “World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration.” The 67th annual Experimental Aircraft Association fly-in convention is July 22-28 at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The night air shows have become a favorite of the weeklong event, featuring a new perspective on the precise flying skills displayed by aerobatic pilots. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne-Unmanned!!!
