NBAA Names Flying Safety Award Recipients

Awardees to be Honored at NBAA-BACE 2023

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) has made public the names of its Flying Safety Award recipients for the period ending 31 December 2022. More than one-hundred companies and flight departments were recognized for accident-free flying.

The NBAA’s Flying Safety Awards evince and celebrate the high degrees of professionalism and evolved safety cultures characteristic of the Association’s member organizations.

Award recipients will be recognized officially during the upcoming National Safety Forum, which will convene during 2023’s NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), which spans 17-19 October and will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen stated: “Safety is a core value at NBAA, and among the business aviation community. We applaud our members for their steadfast commitment to safe operations and look forward to celebrating their accomplishments at NBAA-BACE.”

The following are to be recognized with Safe Flying Achievement Awards:

Undertaken by the NBAA board of directors in 1953, the Flying Safety Awards program seeks to promote a culture of safety in business aviation operations.

In keeping with its fundamental commitment to the perpetuation of business aviation safety through the proliferation of best practices, the NBAA encourages the entirety of its members to participate in the awards program.

Additionally, the NBAA Safety Committee offers resources by which operators of business aircraft may promote their respective safety cultures; these include: materials, guidance on matters relating to safe operations, safety management system resources, and national and regional safety events.

Founded in 1947 for purpose of fostering an environment conducive to business aviation’s success both in the United States and around the world, the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) is a Washington D.C.-based non-profit organization representing upwards of ten-thousand company and individual members.
