ForeFlight Discounts Software To Flight Students

Educational Licensing Program Launched At K-State

ForeFlight has announced a new program designed to put its apps for pilots into the hands of flight school students everywhere.

The company's blog calls the program the "ForeFlight Educational Licensing Program (ELP), a volume licensing program for accredited aviation programs. This new program provides institutions the ability to offer ForeFlight services at a discount to their faculty and students. We designed the program with the aviation program of Kansas State University Salina and in the process built a suite of online tools program members can use to manage student and faculty eligibility."

The K-State Salina aviation department comments, “With the increased use of mobile application devices in industry, we determined that our students will have a distinct advantage in their educational experience through the use of this new technology. We are excited to be launching this program with ForeFlight, and look forward to the benefits it will provide our students.”

Program members get a tailored version of ForeFlight Manage that includes features for adding faculty and students to their programs and uploading roster information using a bulk import tool. Other aviation education programs are being invited to participate in ELP by e-mailing a request to team@foreflight.com.

Existing customers and ELP members can access ForeFlight Manage at the FMI link below.
