Helicopter With NY Governor On Board Makes Emergency Landing

Cabin Reportedly Filled With Fumes Prompting The Landing

Details are sketchy, but a helicopter carrying New York Governor Andrew Cuomo reportedly made an emergency landing Wednesday afternoon.

The New York Daily News reports that the aircraft was bringing the Governor back from his sixth and final regional State of the State address in Albany. During the flight, the cabin of the aircraft filled with fumes that smelled like smoke.

Cuomo (pictured) was traveling with two aides and security officers. The aircraft landed safely and no one was injured, according to communications director James Allen.

The incident is under investigation.
