EBACE 2008: Avidyne Opens New European Support, Sales Center In Germany

Recognizes Increasing Potential Of Int'l Market

As part of an ongoing expansion of its international sales and service efforts, Avidyne announced this week the opening new International Customer Support Center and OEM Sales office, based in Weißenhorn, Germany.

Avidyne-Europe will provide customer support services to European customers, distributors, and limited service centers. Hours of operation are 08:00 to 17:00, Monday thru Friday, local German time. Support staff members at the European facility are fully capable of processing Return Material Authorizations (RMAs), verifying warranty status, and addressing general customer support questions and concerns.

"The launch of the Avidyne-Europe is an exciting new venture that will significantly improve customer support throughout Europe and it also reflects Avidyne’s commitment to enhanced customer support and growth in the European market," said Sergio Umana, Avidyne’s Manager of International Customer Support, based in Avidyne’s Melbourne, Florida facility.

"Avidyne is strategically focused on enhancing our position in the international arena," said Patrick Herguth, Avidyne’s Chief Operating Office. "With the opening of Avidyne-Europe, our new MLX770 for European Datalink, and the recent appointment of a new Director of International Sales, we are making significant investments in internationally-targeted support, products, and sales which will lead to increase customer satisfaction and greater market penetration."  

Avidyne also continues to work with DAC International to provide aftermarket sales throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Pacific Rim.  DAC’s sales representatives in Cortaillod, Switzerland and The Netherlands provide coverage for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, while a representative in Bangkok, Thailand handles Asia and the Pacific Rim. DAC also represents Avidyne in Canada and Latin America.
