TSA's Hawley Encounters Screening, Boarding Difficulties At BWI

Rumors Of "Suggestive" Dress, Body Piercings Downplayed By Agency

ANN APRIL 1st "SPECIAL" EDITION: Over the past several days, ANN has received several anonymous News-Spy tips, from a number of personnel deep within the Transportation Security Administration, regarding an alleged incident at Baltimore-Washington International Airport involving TSA Administrator Kip Hawley.

Aero-News has been able to confirm the following: the incident took place March 14, and involved an altercation at the Concourse D security checkpoint at approximately the same time Hawley was known to have been in the area.

"Subject became visibily agitated when pulled aside for secondary screening," reads an incident report filed for roughly the time Hawley is known to have transited the concourse checkpoint. "When scanned by hand wand, the metal detector identified numerous metallic objects about the subject's [REDACTED], [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] regions.

"When subject was told he must remove said objects before proceeding to the gate, subject responded "Do you know who I am? I am your [REDACTED] [REDACTED]  and can have your [REDACTED] fired at a moment's notice," the report continues.

An unidentified personal assistant to Hawley told ANN the TSA chief was at BWI Concourse D at the time the incident took place, trying to catch a last-minute flight to Dallas.

According to the report, the unidentified male was eventually allowed to proceed to the gate... where he was denied boarding by Southwest Airlines gate agents, due to "suggestive clothing." The assistant confirmed Hawley missed his flight, though she declined to cite a reason.

"Often, the Administrator will travel in casual clothing, in order to discretely pass through checkpoints unrecognized by TSA personnel," the assistant added.

"He prefers light, flowing clothing... and we'll leave it at that."
