ANN's 'Who's Who' At Oshkosh 2015: Anthony Liberatore

Introducing Staff, Stringers, Videographers, And People Who Make It All Work

Anyone who's ever been to Oshkosh knows that there are hundreds of events and activities as well as tens of thousands of people that descend (some quite literally) on Wittman Regional Airport in mid-summer. While we have a very hard-working and dedicated staff, ANN could not provide you with the extensive information we do without the help of some equally ... some might say more ... dedicated volunteers who give a week of their time to make sure you have the best possible coverage of the show. As we lead up to this year's edition of AirVenture, we'll be introducing you to the people that make all of that possible.

Anthony Liberatore: Stringer

Anthony returns as a Stringer to Aero-News this year after a two year hiatus due to family obligations. Like many, Anthony is a pilot that is not current, however writing has been a way to stay in touch with his aviation passion. Prior to coming aboard as a Stringer, Anthony began  his aviation writing by volunteering to be the Newsletter Editor for his EAA Chapter in Michigan. Since then, he has authored articles for both Contact! Magazine and EAA's On-Line Experimeter Magazine.

“Aviation writing has been a journey in which I have been able to combine my technological curiosity with a gift I have to see things in a different light. However, along this journey, probably the most important component I have been able to add is the personal stories of the entrepreneurs and inventor types that permeate EAA and Oshkosh which, in my opinion, is the cutting edge of American Exceptionalism. These “do-ers” are truly amazing individuals, and I can't thank them enough for sharing insights into their “craft” and I am blessed to know them and call them friend.”

Anthony resides in Canton Michigan with his wife Robin and his two daughters Reagan and Sarah who are competitive figure skaters. Anthony has been a full time dad for 13 years, with prior careers in CAD/CAM design in the Power,  Gas Turbine, and Consumer / Industrial products area, as well as a stint in the Financial Planning arena.
