Sporty’s Partners with LIFT Academy

LIFT Students to be Provided Sporty’s Training Materials

Sporty’s has partnered with LIFT Academy to provide the former’s award-winning, online training courses to students engaged in flight training at the latter. The collaboration grants LIFT Academy’s students access to a range of valuable learning resources, including Sporty’s Learn To Fly Course, Instrument Rating Course, Commercial Pilot Course, and Garmin G1000 Checkout Course.

Sporty’s president John Zimmerman stated: “Sporty’s is honored to have been selected by LIFT Academy as an online training provider. Sporty’s courses, paired with LIFT’s on-site flight training, will provide LIFT students with a premier learning experience as they prepare for their aviation career.”

Proven and popular, Sporty’s learning tools have been utilized by generations of aviators. Each course includes hours of 4k video comprising flight deck perspectives and sophisticated 3D animations. Students may also avail themselves of Sporty’s dedicated mobile apps for iPhone, iPad, Android, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Android TV, which allow content to be downloaded for offline viewing.

LIFT Academy director of operations and academic programs Edward Bagden set forth: “LIFT chose Sporty’s as the course provider for our students for the feature-rich and modern courseware that will complement our innovative, industry-leading training program while providing students with the skills they need to succeed. The flight school management tools provide our team with the tools they need to provide LIFT students with the best training possible.”

LIFT Academy students will benefit, also, from Sporty’s powerful test prep tools. Students may create unlimited study sessions and practice exams with access to Sporty’s proprietary database of thousands of test questions. Detailed analytics will further assist students in customizing their learning experience before earning their written exam endorsement.

LIFT Academy will make use of Sporty’s CFI Portal and Chief CFI features to monitor and track student progress within Sporty’s courses. These tools will assist LIFT instructors and management in ensuring that students stay on course toward achieving their training objectives.

Based on the Indianapolis International Airport (IND), LIFT Academy is among the largest flight schools in the U.S. The institution operates a sizable, modern fleet of training aircraft in which, every year, it instructs some three-hundred students in the high art of heavier-than-air flight.

In keeping with the schools’ stature, LIFT’s fleet, too, is among the largest and newest in the flight-training business. Students enrolled at LIFT Academy build skills, experience, and flight-time in Diamond’s DA40-NG single-engine aircraft and Diamond’s DA42-VI twin-engine aircraft, each of which sports slick, LCD, Garmin G1000 avionics suites.

A subsidiary of Republic Airways—LIFT Academy is the only North American flight training institution to feature a curriculum built specifically around the procedures of a functioning airline. Ergo, LIFT students receive high-quality instruction using state-of-the-art technology and aircraft from the program’s outset. Upon attaining the FAA mandated flight-time minima, students may avail themselves of a defined pathway to pilot positions at Republic Airways.

Now in its 62nd year, Sporty's, proprietor of the famed pilot shop and steward of the Sporty’s academy, has grown from a one-man operation founded by Hal Shevers to the world's largest pilot shop and an iconic general aviation brand. Headquartered at Batavia, Ohio’s Clermont County/Sporty's Airport (I69), Sporty's operations extend to airport management, avionics installation and repair, aircraft maintenance, a residential airport community, aircraft sales, and flight training.
