Intriguing Prototype Shown To Public Is Subject Of First New Aero-TV Programming Option... Aero-Minutes!

E-I-C Note: I am inordinately proud of the work that ANN's Aero-TV teams do when it comes to online video... we have (from the very start) eschewed the awful, amateurish video styles so many other organizations favor in an effort to be a part of a media revolution that they neither respect or understand. Like with our online audio offerings, ANN was one of the first to adopt such new technologies and has watched a number of other entities try to keep up. We wish them luck with that (grin). "Aero-Minutes" are a new programming option from Aero-News... already well-known for our longer form features, news programs, Daily News Updates and so much more, Aero-Minutes are designed to give you a quick but professionally produced summation of an intriguing topic or breaking news in a faster paced format, which also allows us (in terms of news coverage) to turn such programming around in a lot less time -- without sacrificing the quality that has become part of our ethos. Carter Aviation Technologies has revealed reveals their four-seat personal air vehicle at AirVenture 2009. Designed to take off and land vertically, the aircraft is able to cruise at high speeds with the efficiency of a fixed-winged airplane.

Carter Aviation Technologies is a research and development company, pioneering new aviation concepts. Their primary focus is the slowed-rotor compound aircraft, a vertical takeoff and landing aircraft that uses the rotor for takeoff and landing, and a small, efficient wing for high speed flight, up to 500 mph, all with much less complexity than a tilt-rotor or other vectored thrust vehicle. Carter successfully demonstrated the slowed rotor concept with the CarterCopter Technology Demonstrator (CCTD), the first and only aircraft to reach mu-1.
