NetJets China Obtains Operating Permit

Approval Moves NetJets China Into Final Phase Of Obtaining Operating Certificate

NetJets Business Aviation Limited (“NetJets China”), a joint venture among NetJets and a consortium of Chinese investors, has announced that it has obtained its operating permit from the Civil Aviation Administration of China. This approval moves NetJets China closer to the final step in its certification, which will be approval of its operating certificate. Then NetJets China will be able to begin providing private jet services for customers in China.

“We are pleased with the continuing progress we are making in obtaining approval to operate in China, and are appreciative of the good relations we have with the government’s regulatory agencies” said NetJets China Vice Chairman Eric Wong. “The granting of this permit positions NetJets China for final approval, which we hope to receive in the next few months.”

While working through the certification process, NetJets China has continued preparing for the start of flight operations. NetJets China has hired its principal staff, established the necessary internal structures and processes for safe flight operations, and begun forming relationships with key vendors. Additionally, the company has purchased and imported two aircraft into China to offer charter services as soon as the government grants its approval.
