Classic Aero-TV: Evolutionary Rotorcraft–Cicaré Heli's Offer Versatile Airframes

From 2015 (YouTube Version): Long-Time Rotorcraft Manufacturer Looks To Build North American Presence

While at EAA AirVenture 2015, ANN CEO and Editor-In-Chief, Jim Campbell, checked in on the world of kit-built helicopters by visiting with Raul Oreste, the Chief Commercial Officer for Cicare SA Helicopters.

Cicare helicopters is located in Argentina but they are now setting up operations in the United States.

Oreste tells us that their company now has four models of helicopters on the market. As he discusses each model, you’ll see each one being flown in the video. An unusual twist in their line of helicopters is a tandem seat version.

We all know that helicopter training can be challenging and Cicare has come up with a unique answer to this in what could be called a flying simulator. The best way to describe it is that it’s a real helicopter on training wheels, but to understand how it works you’ll need to watch the video.

Their line of helicopters are designed to be lightweight and are powered by the Rotax 912 and 914 series of engines. As the video progresses, Oreste talks about, and shows us, other designs that are in the works. This video gives you a great look at lightweight helicopters in action.
