The NTSB has filed the final report on the tragic crash that took the life of a baseball legend, Roy Halladay.

In his Icon A5. On November 7, 2017, about 1204 eastern standard time, an Icon Aircraft A5 special light sport amphibious airplane, N922BA, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident near Clearwater, Florida. The private pilot sustained fatal injuries. The CAP system was not deployed, and the CAP cockpit handle pin was in its installed position. The pilot had 14.5 hours of total flight experience in the accident airplane and had been seen flying aggressively. Got a great note from our friends at Pipistrel... they're offering you something pretty exciting to occupy your time while you're sheltering in place. Anybody, whether student pilot, pilot, flight instructor or aviation enthusiast, flying clubs, flight schools can apply and join Pipistrel online courses free-of-charge for a period of 3 months, from April 2020 until end of June 2020. This unique offer is available worldwide to all, including to non-pilots who are interested in aviation. We've been monitoring some truly heartbreaking reports about yet another tragedy that has struck our community. Apparently; some truly sick individuals have caused thousands of dollars of damage to two DC-3s with a historical pedigree. According to Cape Cod Airfield's Instagram site, "In these difficult times we at the airfield know that more people than usual are utilizing the trails in the conservation land. We welcome this, however this increased foot traffic has started to bleed onto airfield property. Unfortunately, we made a horrible discovery recently. Both of the DC-3s on the airfield have sustained at least $15,000 worth of damages due to vandalism. These aircraft are antiques that were utilized by the Allied forces in WWII. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
